Our Business Connections Mixers attracts about 60+ business professionals from a broad spectrum of disciplines. The Business Connections Mixer provides an opportunity for business networking in a casual environment. If structured networking is more your style take a look at our Business Exchange Network. The Business Exchange Network, or BEN, is a closed category referral program. Each group meets twice a month to exchange business referrals and develop business networks. BEN is an excellent vehicle for growing your referral network and client base. Brewing Up Business combines the best of the Business Connections Mixer and Business Exchange Network. It is casual, like the Business Connections Mixer and targeted like BEN. Brewing Up Business is a great way to start your day. Nearly every Chamber program/event offers time to make new business contacts. Be sure to arrive early and work the room. |

Business Exchange Network (BEN)Structured Networking for Business Growth and Professional Development The Business Exchange Network (BEN) provides a structured forum where Chamber Members can increase their business by networking with other members on a regular basis and through business referrals. Every BEN member presents a 30-second introduction at each meeting, enabling them to hone their “elevator pitch” to perfection. BEN members are also invited to make a periodic 10-minute presentation to the group. BEN provides a supportive environment that allows each member to share products or services with others who want to help them succeed. Business Connections MixersBusiness Networking in a Social Environment Business Connections Mixers is a networking program of the North Texas GLBT Chamber of Commerce. Business Connections Mixers (BCM) are held in throughout North Texas on the second Thursday of each month at 5:30 PM. Chamber members and their guests, as well as anyone interested in learning more about the benefits of Chamber membership, are welcome to attend. Hosting a Business Connections Mixer is an exclusive benefit of Chamber membership. Locations are determined based on host’s ability to meet the mixer requirements* (below) as well as other parameters determined by the Chamber. Brewing Up BusinessBusiness Network that’s both Casual and Structured If you’re a morning person then you’ll love Brewing Up Business, it’s like the Business Connections Mixer only at 830 AM. It combines business referral and hot coffee and a muffin. Like the Business Exchange Network, every Brewing Up Business member presents a 30-second introduction at each meeting. Sponsoring a Brewing Up Business is an exclusive benefit of Chamber membership. Sponsors receive great exposure through the Chamber website and email notices. In addition, sponsors receive the exclusive right to conduct a 5-minute presentation at the meeting. Hosting Benefits
- The Chamber actively promotes its mixers on the Chamber website, in e-mail notifications, and in press releases. Whenever possible the Chamber will include your business logo and hyperlinks to your website.
- Hosting a Chamber mixer gives you a unique opportunity to showcase your business. Mixer hosts may make a brief presentation during the mixer.
- Chamber provides the host with a digital copy of business cards collected at the mixer to allow for follow up with the mixer guests.
Host Requirements
- Chamber Member in good standing
- Location must accommodate a minimum of 75 guests (125 max.)
- Adequate/safe parking for guests
- Hot & cold appetizers
- Free cocktails (beer/wine) or special drink prices
- Door prizes for mixer guests (2 minimum)
