Late last month I attended a meeting with the presidents of the area chambers of commerce at the North Dallas Chamber offices.  We discussed several important issues, however I was most impressed by a sign at the reception desk that said, "We refuse to participate in the recession . . . and so should you!" At first I laughed, and then I realized that this is a great message. Maybe it should be followed by, "When life gives you lemons, make lemonade" because that's exactly what successful business people do during tentative economic times.
 
The Chamber can help you make lemonade and even sweeten it just right!  Don't just survive; thrive using your Chamber benefits. Take advantage of everything the Chamber has to offer: Office Depot program, expanded online business listing, online networking (NEW), networking events, etc. Stretch your advertising budget through the Chamber. Online, email and print advertising are all designed to be affordable and affective.
 
Remember, we're not going to participate in the recession and neither should you!
