Let's make sure the first thing they hear about is the importance of an Employment Non-Discrimination Act that protects all lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people. Make their phones ring!
Call the Capitol Switchboard at (202) 224-3121 and have them connect you to your Representative (based on your zip code). Tell them: "I am a constituent and I would like you to please tell Representative _______ that I strongly support the Employment Non-Discrimination Act that would ban discrimination against all lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people."

GLBT Chamber joins coalition.
The North Texas GLBT Chamber of Commerce recently joined with dozens of other North Texas chambers of commerce as part of the Dallas Area Chambers of Commmerce Legislateive Coalition. The coalition meets bi-annually in preparation for the Texas legislative session. This is the first time that our Chamber has been invited to participate.
A message from Paul Scott, Equaity Texas.
In the most recent election cycle, Equality Texas endorsed and supported 12 candidates for the Texas House of Representatives. We stressed the importance of these State House races because they could lead to a change in the leadership of the House.
11 of our 12 endorsed candidates were victorious.
The Texas House has its most bipartisan compositition in eight years, with 76 Republicans and 74 Democrats.
And now, the Texas House of Representatives will have a new Speaker.
